Preparation Do I need to fast before my blood test?

Yes, fasting is required for certain tests to ensure accurate results:

  • FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar) - 8-12 hours fasting
  • Lipid Profile - 10-12 hours fasting
  • OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) - 8-14 hours fasting
  • Iron studies - 12 hours fasting

You may drink water during fasting. For other tests like CBC, Creatinine, or Urinalysis, fasting is not required.

PhilHealth What does PhilHealth Yakap cover?

As an accredited Yakap PhilHealth provider, we offer subsidized laboratory packages for PhilHealth members:

  • Basic Labs Package - CBC, Urinalysis, Fecalysis
  • Chemistry Package - FBS, Creatinine, BUA, Cholesterol
  • Full APE Package - Complete Annual Physical Exam labs

Bring your PhilHealth ID and MDR (Member Data Record) to avail of the subsidy. Discount ranges from 30-60% depending on the package.

Results How long until I get my results?

Turnaround time varies by test type:

  • Routine Tests (CBC, Urinalysis, FBS) - Same day (2-4 hours)
  • Chemistry Panels - Same day to 24 hours
  • Special Tests (Hormones, Tumor Markers) - 2-3 working days
  • X-Ray Results - 24-48 hours
  • Culture & Sensitivity - 3-5 working days

Results are available for secure download via the patient portal once validated by our pathologist.

Absolutely! Our Mobile Clinic service brings the laboratory to you:

Results How do I access my results online?

Accessing your results is easy:

  • Go to the Patient Portal section on this website
  • Click "Patient Lookup"
  • Enter your Patient ID (e.g., BMS-001)
  • Enter your secure PIN code
  • Click "Find My Results" to view and download

Your PIN code is provided when you register. Contact our IT support if you need assistance.

Services Do you accept walk-in patients?

Yes! We welcome walk-in patients during our operating hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Saturday & Holidays: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

For special procedures like Ultrasound or large corporate groups, we recommend scheduling an appointment to avoid waiting.

Patients are required to provide accurate personal identification and medical history. BMS Medical Laboratory is not liable for diagnostic discrepancies resulting from falsified or withheld patient information (e.g., failing to disclose non-fasting status).

3. Releasing of Results

Official laboratory results will only be released upon full settlement of the billing invoice. Results may be claimed physically or accessed securely via our authorized digital channels. We do not sell or distribute your data.
